JYOTHSANA SELVAM

I am Jyothsana Selvam, art director and stylist with a desire to explore the macabre and an obsession for storytelling. I specialise in creating editorials, campaigns, ads and social launches for magazines and fashion brands from around the world. I also engage in creative styling for editorials and brand e-commerce. I believe in narrating a story with no words; my works are visual aids for brands and their creations to shine in this world where everything is over produced and over consumed. While visually standing out is not as easy these days, drawing a story is what makes a piece of content an expression of a brand. I am here to do just that!

Finding beauty in the wilderness is my forte. I often draw inspiration from art, history and dark poetry. Research is where every journey begins.

I have an outlook that all the groundwork goes into the stitching and construction of a garment that is completely hidden underneath, as a former fashion designer. To appreciate what is concealed, I like to pull things inside out and reveal the substance!
